Im Bereich der Grundlagenforschung überlappt dieser Schwerpunkt weitgehend mit dem Schwerpunkt dendritische Zellen. Eine mehr klinisch orientierte Forschungsrichtung im Rahmen des allergologischen Schwerpunkts betrifft die Arzneimittelallergien und ihre Abklärung mittels des klassischen Lymphozytentransformationstest, CAST ELISA und anderen Methoden.
