Melanoma

This project is carried out in collaboration with research centers in Triest, Bruneck and Bolzano. A major goal is to investigate regional differences of melanoma characteristics and epidemiology between several geographic regions in the Alpine-Adria region.

Aims

(1) To compare clinical melanoma data and geography/altitude of residence

(2) To compare morphological and phenotypical characteristics of melanoma tissue between geography/altitude of residence

(3) To compare genetic analyses of melanoma tissue between geography/altitude of residence

(4) To investigate clinical presentation, morphology, molecular data and outcome in elderly melanoma patients
